A Thanksgiving Day Hike

Work up an appetite or walk off your dinner with a hike on one of the Lakes Region’s beautiful trails. A Thanksgiving Day hike is the perfect way to enjoy the crisp autumn air and stunning scenery. We recommend Mount Major for breathtaking views or the more family-friendly Lockes Hill trail in Gilford.

Pro Tip: Dress warmly and bring some hot cocoa to enjoy at the summit!

 

Celebrate Laconia Lights Festival

Get into the holiday spirit with this delightful post-Thanksgiving event on Saturday, November 30. The day kicks off with the Santa Shuffle 5K and continues with train rides aboard the Lights Festival Locomotive. Enjoy delicious food from a variety of food trucks on Canal Street, various activities for the kids, and don't miss the Santa Parade at 5 p.m., followed by Santa lighting up Laconia with a dazzling display!
