Mt. Major - Alton
A family friendly hike up to Mt. Major (1,785 feet) provides spectacular panoramic views of Lake Winnipesaukee. Difficulty is considered moderate, but it's a great hike for all ages and well worth the effort to see the stunning panoramic views from the top.

Gunstock Mountain Adventure Park - Gilford
During winter, Gunstock Mountain is the biggest ski area in the Lakes Region with 55 runs, 24 open for night skiing, and tubing. Ski trail ratings offer something for every level of skier. Spring, Summer, and Fall, visitors can enjoy New England's largest rope, aerial, and zipline obstacle course. Covering 9 acres with 91 challenges, there are 5 levels of adult courses and an explorer course for kids.
Just Maple - Tilton
Located at the Green Acres Farm, you’ll find a sugarhouse and a little barn store - the perfect stop for all your maple gifts. If you happen to be visiting during New Hampshire Maple Weekend (in March), they have events going on such as tours, samplings, and demonstrations.
Mill Falls Marketplace - Meredith
Mills Falls offers a truly unique shopping experience, featuring a wide variety of distinctive shops for clothing, crafts, and more. Millie B Antique Boat Rides - Wolfeboro
Take a cruise on a 28-foot, mahogany triple cock-pit replica of a 1928 Hacker-Craft, and relive the golden age of wooden boats. It’s a one-of-a-kind ride with a 45-minute narrated tour of beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee.
Castle in the Clouds - Moultonborough
Built over 100 years ago, The Castle in the Clouds or the Lucknow Estate, is a 16-room mansion designed in the architectural style of the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th century. It is perched and 5,500-acre mountaintop ranch overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee and the Ossipee Mountain Range and hosts a museum and art gallery, restaurant, and gift shop.
Hermit Woods Winery – Meredith
A small boutique winery just a few minutes south of the Center Harbor Inn, Hermit Woods Winery offers a selection of wines that are local, vegan (except the honey wines), gluten free, and hand-processed. They offer tours and have a tasting room open year-round.
Tamworth Distillery – Tamworth
The Tamworth Distillery finds inspiration and their ingredients in the surrounding lands of this small town at the foot of the White Mountains. The distillery prides itself on being a true farm-to-bottle company: all the grains used are GMO-free and sourced from within a 150-mile radius of the distillery. Visitors can enjoy a tasting bar, gift shop, off-site café, and tours.
Sandwich Mountain Trail - Sandwich
For serious hikers, the Sandwich Mountain Trail is a 7.3-mile light traffic out and back trail offering many scenic views. Accessible year-round, the trail is used primarily for bird watching, trail running and hiking, and consists of a steep climb to the summit of Noon Peak. From there, the trail then climbs moderately to the summit of Sandwich Dome.
Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center - Laconia
Connect with nature at Prescott Farm. This environmental education and preservation center is open to all ages throughout the year. The farm is designated as an official NH wildlife viewing area with 160 acres of conservation lands to explore. Visitors can play in the natural Playscape, explore the 3-story historic barn, learn about native plant and wildlife species, and enjoy more than three miles of woodland, pond and field trails with views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Belknap Mountains.
Wright Museum - Wolfeboro
The museum houses vintage artifacts and interactive displays that bring the American WWII experience to life. A collection of dozens of fully-operational military vehicles lies at the core of the Wright Museum's collection. Also among the museum's highlights are fully-furnished period vignettes including a 1942 gas station, corner soda fountain, and dentist office.
